Grilling with Helser Brothers at Home Fashions U

As the temperature rises in Arizona so does the excitement at Home Fashions U.   National Educator Donna Skufis is arriving in Phoenix on June 10th and many of the Arizona Workrooms are attending the 2-Day Window Coverings Workshop in Peoria, AZ. 

Friday evening June 11th Home Fashions U will be hosting a dinner and networking around the pool.  The menu is growing and a big welcome to guest chief Jay Helser of Helser Brothers Drapery Hardware.  Jay will be grilling his secret recipe Helser Hambugers.  To join us around the pool you can sign up at the Arizona Window Coverings and Professional Workroom Meetup.

There are only a couple spots left for Donna's classes.  You can sign up for the either workshop at Home Fashions U.

I have heard about the Helser Hounds, you will all get to meet the Home Fashions U hounds Gretta and Wilma.  They are great pups and love hamburgers.

    

Setting Your Holiday Table with Specials From Oneida Flatware

Christmas in Maxwell added new recipes that were served at the Holiday Champagne Brunch.  We served Champagne Poinsettias and Run Skip and Go Naked!  Yes, all the ladies kept their clothes on and just enjoyed the great shopping at Christmas in Maxwell located in Maxwell California.  

Fig & Proscuitto Pizza

I had this Pizza at a local resturant in Scottsdale and it was the greatest!!


Ingredients:
Dough 12 oz
Fig Compote 4 oz
Prosciutto 1 oz
Gorgonzola 3 oz
Shred Fontina 4 oz
Julienne Basil Pinch
Sauce
1/2 Pound Dried Black Figs
1 Cup Port Wine
2 Cups Water
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar

Instructions:
Roll out dough to 12" circle. Spread fig compote evenly and lay down prosciutto. Top with cheeses.

Place in oven for 6-8 min, or until done. Take out and put on peel. Finish with julienne basil. Cut in 8 even slices.

Fig Sauce:
1/2 Pound Dried Black Figs
1 Cup Port Wine
2 Cups Water
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar

Cut stems off of figs. Place figs in pot and add port wine. Add water and sugar and bring to simmer.
Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring periodically. When figs are soft turn heat off and place in refrigerator for 20 minutes, until cooled down enough to puree.  Place the figs and liquid in a food processor and puree for 45 seconds until smooth. Place the figs into a bowl.  Add balsamic vinegar and mix.  Place the compote into the refrigerator and allow to cool fully before use
